Our History
Commitment to National Progress
Around seventy-five years ago, our grandfather laid the foundation of what would later become a legacy, a modest trading business focused on the distribution of local and fancy items in Joljibi, a vital trade point in the Darchula District, nestled near the Nepal–India border. This small initiative quickly grew in reputation and outreach, allowing us to expand our operations into other strategic border towns, including Julaghat in Baitadi District and Khalanga in Darchula District, situated in the Far-Western Development Region of Nepal.
Over the past one and a half decades, we have been operating under the banner of Gwallek Group and have evolved from being a trading-based company to incorporating both trading and manufacturing functions, supporting not only commerce but also local industry.
As part of our commitment to national progress, Gwallek Group has played a significant role in driving regional economic development, especially in underserved and rural border regions. We are dedicated to ensuring that essential services and health-related products are readily accessible to the public quickly, affordably, and reliably.
Furthermore, we have embraced a broader mission: to promote and encourage the production of local and domestic goods. By doing so, we aim to elevate Nepalese products to a global stage, thereby strengthening the presence of Nepali brands in international markets. Gwallek Group envisions strategic diversification into the hospitality and healthcare sectors.
Plans are underway to invest in hotels, hospitals, and related infrastructure. The Humble Beginnings
Mr. Joshi’s entrepreneurial path started with a modest dealer shop in Darchula. It was here, at the grassroots level, that he learned the pulse of the market and the everyday needs of the people.
Driven by a desire for growth and a clearer understanding of regional commerce, he relocated his business to Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, bringing his dedication and business acumen to a new
community.

Living and working in Mahendranagar, Mr. Joshi saw an opportunity to serve his community in a more profound way. He laid the foundation for his first manufacturing venture: Amrit Distillery Pvt. Ltd. The mission was simple yet revolutionary: to produce high-quality, cost-friendly alcoholic beverages for the local market. Amrit Distillery was more than a business; it was Mr. Joshi's first major step in proving that local production could compete with and even surpass established norms, offering superior value to Nepali consumers.
The Birth of Sneha Herbals
This vision became a reality on the with the establishment of Sneha Herbals Industries. The name itself embodies the mission: "Sneha," meaning love and care for the community, and "Herbals," signifying a commitment to pure, natural, and locally sourced ingredients. Sneha Herbals was founded to champion the cause of "Made in Nepal," making everyday life easier and healthier for all.
